INNOVATIVE COATINGS AND SYSTEMS FOR THEIR APPLICATION
We create materials that change surface properties, adapting them to market needs, including: functional layers and multilayer coatings, nanometric particles and aerogels. Our team’s many years of experience, completed research projects and obtained patents allow us to adapt our proprietary, submicron sol-gel materials to the diverse expectations of the industry.
We have built an advanced system for applying thin layers by atomization. Our proprietary device allows the production of functional coatings, including: on large-format and geometrically complex surfaces, modify and adapt them freely to effectively translate laboratory solutions into industrial applications.
Examples of technological solutions:
an innovative barrier coating that prevents hydrogen penetration, whose groundbreaking properties have been confirmed by test results in a commercial laboratory;
protection of construction materials (anti-corrosion coatings, increasing scratch resistance, changing surface mechanical properties),
phobic layers for various media, including: water and oil,
airgel insulating layers (thermal and acoustic) providing protection against extreme temperatures and other aggressive environmental factors,
strengthening the mechanical properties of polymers (nanoparticles);strengthening the mechanical properties of polymers (nanoparticles);
layers and powders as drug carriers.
Innovative barrier coating – an effective solution to the problem of hydrogen loss
a breakthrough technology for the global hydrogen industry is the first such effective way to reduce costs related to hydrogen leaks during its storage, transportation and transmission;
Polish scientists have created an original layer with a previously unattainable tightness (the penetration of hydrogen particles is within the lower limits of the sensitivity of measurement tools);
the revolutionary technology created by scientists co-creating the hiPower Institute of Materials can also be adapted to the needs of the food, medical and construction industries;
the effectiveness of the innovative layer and its proprietary application system is confirmed by independent tests carried out in a specialized commercial laboratory.
Tightness testing of an innovative coating preventing hydrogen leakage
Groundbreaking research results confirm that the loss of hydrogen in a tank covered with an innovative sol-gel coating oscillates at the level of the lower sensitivity limit of measurement tools. To ensure that the previously unattainable results are 100% reliable, additional calibration of measuring devices was carried out during the tests, confirming the correctness of the results obtained.
Let's talk about how to use the properties of sealing coating in your company.
Find out the scale of savings
The use of innovative solutions tailored to the company’s needs allows you to build a strong competitive advantage and significantly reduce production costs.
How?
By replacing an expensive material with a cheaper equivalent, which, after covering with a specialized functional coating, allows for obtaining identical properties as the expensive starting material.
An example may be the replacement of high-quality austenitic steel by a manufacturer of cryogenic devices with several times cheaper structural steel with a surface refined with solutions proposed by the hiPower Institute of Materials.
Another example of a radical cost reduction by increasing the tightness of the surface and reducing the loss of valuable substances is the use of an innovative barrier coating that prevents the penetration of hydrogen.
Based on the currently applicable standards regarding the permissible loss of hydrogen in the tanks in which it is stored, the value of lost hydrogen is measured in tens of billions of dollars per year. Thanks to our barrier technology, in addition to the savings resulting from retaining hydrogen, we can introduce hydrogen technologies to previously unavailable applications.
